The Harvey Curtis Sussex Road Race Challenge is the premier road running series in Sussex – promoting, developing and rewarding competitive road racing among the county’s best endurance athletes. End-of-series prize list for both Men and Women is 1st place overall £300, 2nd £200, 3rd £100, 4th £90 RUN voucher, 5th £80 RUN voucher, 6th £70 RUN voucher, 7th £60 RUN voucher, 8th £50 RUN voucher, 9th £40 RUN voucher, 10th £30 RUN voucher. Winning team Trophy (held for one year).
Rules
1. Top 30 Sussex AA-affiliated men and women to score (i.e. once all non-
Sussex-affiliated and unattached runners are discounted)
2. Best 3 of 4 events to count
3. In team event, top 3 men and women in each event to score; best 3 of 4
events to count; best combined score wins
4. In Road Relays, fastest 30 men & women to score; for team event, fastest 3 to count (whichever team within a club – seniors and vets only)

Final Standings & Notification From The Sponsors Harvey Curtis

We are pleased to announce that the winners of this year's Harvey Curtis Sussex Road Race Challenge are Jon Pepper and Fiona Clark, who each win £300 cash and a silver-plated, engraved perpetual cup.

The 2013 prize winners and prizes in full are:

2nd James Baker — £200 cash
3rd Howard Bristow — £100 cash
4th David Bradford — £90 RUN voucher
5th Chris Gilbert — £80 RUN voucher
(In the men's event, only five - of a possible 10 - runners qualified for an award, i.e. by finishing in the top 30 Sussex runners in the necessary three of four qualifying races.)

The prize-giving will take place at the Crowborough 10k on Sunday 1st December, after the race. We would very much appreciate the attendence of all prize winners — and, of course, all supporters very welcome. 

Harvey Curtis have generously provided sponsorship for the series to continue with the same level of backing in 2014. The 2014 races will be: Chichester 10k, Bexhill 5k, Barns Green Half Marathon and Brighton 10k, with best three of four to count — see attached brief for full details.
